Incoming positions and promotions
Wow... I don't use this announcement section much... if at all. I'll try to use it more often in the future. ^^
Another batch of promotions is coming down the pipe soon; however, this one might be a bit different than before. Besides the promotions being influenced by a larger group of members, it will also change some of our ranking system. The extent of this is yet to be determined. What we do know is that we will be hiring department managers for the tribe (instead of another leader). Managers will be given specific areas of the tribe to look over and will be afforded a small staff to assist them. The more focused jobs will allow these people to focus on a single task and not be overwhelmed with other things. They would also be given more responsibility and liability over their section of the tribe. Goomba and I would still remain as the administrators of the tribe and the managers would report to us.
If you would be specifically interested in helping out and are of Soldier rank or higher, feel free to PM me (or post here) and explain what you would like to do for the tribe as well as an explanation of why you should be put in charge of that section. Just keep in mind, our decisions of who to hire for what job is still up to us. We may hire people who don't send a request as well as not hire those who do.
More information will be released on the matter when it is ready. Thank you.
UPDATE: It looks like these may become the final positions:
Hiring manager
• Job Description: This person would be in charge of recruiting new members to the tribe.
• Staff: Recruiters - 3 to 4
• Responsibilities: Managing staff; Helping build recruiting rules; Ensuring that recruiting rules are followed; Record keeping the new member list; Giving new hires Stooge rank on the forum

• Job Description: This person would be in charge of communications within the tribe, bot in game and outside of it.
• Staff: Hunteress - 3 to 4
• Responsibilities: Moderating the forum; Finding new ways to increase forum use; Updating the Leaderboard page; Developing other methods of communication outside of the tribe (like Vent)

• Job Description: This person would be in charge of keeping members up to date with current policy.
• Staff: Treasurer - 0 to 2
• Responsibilities: Updating the greeting message; sending out mass PM's; posting major changes on forum

Event coordinator
• Job Description: This person will be in charge of arranging events.
• Staff: None
• Responsibilities: Developing events for the tribe; Arranging tribe battles; Communicating with other tribe; Setting event rules; Relaying information to tribe

Sure, and honestly, you can post recommendations here as well. When I wrote that, replies and posts were not allowed in this section of the forum, but I just opened it up.

I'd like to use this message as a means of conveying intentions I've had for quite a while now. Since December when I started playing again, I've spent more time than ever before participating in the tribe activities, getting to know its members, and improving it in general. I mentioned previously that a minor concern I had with the tribe was that my contributions weren't being noticed; that, perhaps, no one noticed my reinvigorated attempts to better the tribe. My sentiment towards the tribe and life in general have changed. I no longer feel like I need, or even want, people to notice my attempts to help them - that by acting more as a benevolent overseer than a micromanaging deus ex machina, I can fulfill my own personal expectations and be seen in a better light by others. I, however, believe that a prerequisite for being able to make more substantial contributions to the overall well-being of the tribe is a position to do so. Being in a position to communicate with the leaders more directly and explicitly about issues regarding the tribe would enable me to utilize my leadership abilities most effectively. You can look at the joke application thread I posted back in December - the details in there are completely true, if you are interested in looking at my "resume." I intend to invest more time and effort into my responsibilities (if I were to receive a promotion) and continue to make the tribe a fun, welcome place for every member from stooge to spiritual chief.

Well if you need any help managing the forums, I've been a Forum admin on my gaming community for over 5 years now, So I know how everything works and what to do and what not to do.

Updated a little bit. We are still looking for an update manager and an event coordinator.
All existing applications were for the hiring manager, so if you would like to shift one to one of the other positions, please send a PM saying so. (This goes for both soldiers and initiated)
